JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya, which is the manager of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS), will immediately increase the toll tariff on the Lubuk Linggau 'Curup'Bengkulu Section Bengkulu 'Taba Penjung toll road in the near future.

The increase in toll rates is in accordance with the issuance of the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Public Works No. 3036 of 2024 concerning the adjustment of toll rates on these sections.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said that this tariff adjustment is important to maintain a conducive and influential toll road investment climate on the sustainability of toll road management.

"The tariff adjustment is also in line with Law regulations no. 2 of 2022 concerning Article 48 paragraph (3) and (4), which regulates that tariff adjustments can be made every two years based on the influence of the inflation rate and the evaluation of the fulfillment of SPM," he said.

To ensure that this tariff adjustment is appropriate, Hutama Karya will also officially open the Rest Area KM 5 Line A & B Bengkulu Toll Road "Taba Penjung" on Monday, December 9, with comfortable and complete facilities for toll road users equipped with modern buildings with large parking areas, clean toilets, mosques, lactation rooms, clinics, ATM centers, workshops and food court areas.

In this rest area, there is also ready-to-build land for gas stations, mini markets to lodging. As a form of company alignment with small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as many as 70 percent of tenant rest areas are allocated to local MSMEs.

"With the provision of tenants intended for local MSMEs, this rest area is expected to be a solution for toll road users to rest as well as support local economic activity," he said.

With the tariff adjustment to be implemented, Hutama Karya appealed to all road users to drive in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable on toll roads, to drive at a minimum speed of 60 km/hour and a maximum of 100 km/hour and not to use the shoulder of the road except in an emergency.
