PT Timah Pays Trillions of Rupiah in Taxes to Support State Revenue

JAKARTA - PT Timah Tbk in the last four years has paid trillions of rupiah in taxes and non-tax state revenues, to support increasing state revenues of the Republic of Indonesia.

"The amount of tax paid to the government is adjusted to the company's performance each year," said Head of Corporate Communications PT Timah Tbk Anggi Siahaan in a press statement, quoted from Antara, Sunday 26 November.

He said that in carrying out its business processes PT Timah Tbk plays a role in supporting state income through taxes and non-tax state income (PNBP).

Based on records in recent years, PT Timah's contribution to the state in 2018 amounted to IDR 818 billion, 2019 amounted to IDR 1.2 trillion, 2020 amounted to IDR 677.9 billion, 2021 IDR 776.657 billion and 2022 IDR 1.51 trillion.

"From these taxes and PNBP, the government and the community receive a share of the results in the form of royalties," he said.

He stated that PT Timah Tbk was not only focused on fulfilling its duties as a state revenue generator, but PT Timah was also growing and developing together with the people of Bangka Belitung.

The Bangka Belitung Islands Province is known as Timah Island. This common country has become the largest tin producer in Indonesia and is famous at global level.

As a tin producer in Indonesia, tin mining activities in Bangka Belitung have been going on for centuries. As time goes by, tin management in Bangka Belitung continues to develop, not only managed by PT Timah Tbk as a tin mining company representing the state.

"PT Timah Tbk's support does not only include financial contributions, but also involves various initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of local communities and supporting sustainable development," he said.
