JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has completed 42.06 percent of toll road construction projects in the State Capital (IKN) with the use of technology and various latest breakthroughs. WIKA Corporate Secretary Mahendra Vijaya said several projects carried out by WIKA included the KKT KKT Kariangau-Simpang Tempadung Toll Road, which is part of the Balikpapan-IKN Toll Road. "The construction of this project uses 5D BIM technology which is the level of project construction planning and management," Mahendra said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 25.

Mahendra explained, the 5D BIM allows stakeholders including project owners and consultants to work more integrated into a digital platform to minimize communication errors, optimize the design process and lead to faster and more accurate decision-making.

Implementation of BIM is proven to provide benefits for project implementation at IKN, namely producing better visualization, more in-depth analysis including Crush detection so as to avoid potential rework, efficient project management as well as better documentation.

WIKA is also working on the Jalan Sumbu Kebangsaan Timur project which was built in East Kalimantan. As the main pillar in the development of international-class Indonesian human resources, the construction of this project also includes the scope of Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT) which is the hallmark of future and modern cities in the world.

In addition to road infrastructure development, WIKA is also working on the joint operation project for the construction of the IKN Presidential Palace.

Currently, the development progress for the WIKA scope has reached 36.5 percent.

"Good progress is also shown in the construction of the presidential office and the ceremonial field in the IKN area which has also reached 45.51 percent," said Mahendra.

WIKA actively synergizes with the Ministry of PUPR as the owner of the project to ensure that the development process in the IKN area runs smoothly and in accordance with the set target. IKN development itself contributes to strengthening the Company's financial performance, because the projects obtained by WIKA come from the state budget and use payment schemes based on monthly progress. "About Rp. 4.8 trillion to date from the beginning of the tender," he said.
