BPKH And Bank Muamalat Sign Cooperation In The Development Of Cheap Hajj Services

JAKARTA - The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) and PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk signed a cooperation related to Hajj plus, payment of Hajj and Umrah services for Hajj pilgrims on the waiting list and prospective pilgrims.

The signing ceremony was carried out by BPKH Member Harry Alexander and Bank Muamalat President Director Indra Falatehan on November 21, 2023 at Muamalat Tower, Jakarta.

BPKH Executive Board member Harry Alexander said BPKH continues to strive to develop the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem and improve services for 5.3 million Hajj pilgrims on the waiting list and easy Hajj registration for Indonesians who have not registered for Hajj.

This effort is carried out by cooperating with Bank Muamalat's subsidiaries through the development of banking products and services. Bank Muamalat as Hajj will offer financing products such as multipurpose State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and non-ASN for Umrah worship, gold installments for planning Hajj payments, Pro Hajj Plus for plus Hajj, as well as planned savings products," he said in a statement to the media, Wednesday, November 22.

Bank Muamalat President Director Indra Falatehan said Indonesia is the country with the largest hajj quota in the world. This is the focus of BPKH and Bank Muamalat to provide service solutions to the waiting list congregation.

"Of the total 5.3 million pilgrims, about 15 percent are Bank Muamalat customers. Therefore, we want to enter the ecosystem in synergy with BPKH through various Islamic banking services and products in the form of financing and savings," he said.

Previously, BPKH and Bank Muamalat had also synergized where the mobile banking application (Muamalat DIN) was connected between servers or hosts-to-hosts with the BPKH Virtual Account (BPKH VA) application. This synergy is established to facilitate Hajj pilgrims on the waiting list, and also as a form of transparency of information on the management of hajj funds.

In addition, the DIN Muamalat application currently has the Hajj Bank menu available. In the menu, there are features including Hajj registration, hajj payment, and checking the latest value of the benefits of Hajj. This information can be obtained simply by accessing Muamalat DIN from anywhere without having to go to the Bank Muamalat branch office.
