Realization Of Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution Has Reached 5.30 Million Tons

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) through its subsidized children has distributed 5,304,041 tons of fertilizer as of November 9, 2023.

Consisting of Urea as many as 3,131,509 tons and 2,172,533 tons for NPK.

The total allocation of subsidized fertilizers set by the government throughout 2023 is 7.85 million tons.

In detail, Urea fertilizer is 4.64 million tons and NPK is 3.21 million tons.

Meanwhile, based on data from PT Pupuk Indonesia, subsidized fertilizer stocks reached 1,366,525 tons as of November 10, 2023.

This figure is equivalent to 199 percent of the government's minimum stock provisions of 422,020 tons.

President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, said that the stock of subsidized fertilizers is currently double the government's minimum stock provisions.

He said, fertilizer stocks were also available in kiosks.

"For stock subsidies, it has doubled the target, so fertilizer is ready, fertilizers are all in kiosks, the stock is twice what is required," Rahmad told reporters, written Monday, November 13.

Rahmad said this abundant stock of fertilizer was also caused by the delay in the rice planting period due to the long dry season.

Where the rice planting period should have been carried out in October 2023, but farmers have only started preparing to plant rice this month.

"Because there is a decline in the planting season, this amount of fertilizer is abundant," he explained.

Make Access Easier For Farmers To Get Pupuk

Rahmad revealed that his party had also agreed with the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) to provide easy access to farmers to get subsidized fertilizers.

Where the Ministry of Agriculture as the regulator prepares the regulations needed so that farmers can redeem in an easy way.

Meanwhile, Pupuk Indonesia, through all its subsidiaries, continues to improve data and distribution patterns so that it becomes easier for farmers in rice centers.

"We have agreed together with the Ministry of Agriculture. In essence, everything that grows will be given convenience. Improvements are also made. God willing, we will improve such things in the field," he said.

Rahmad said that the total recipients of subsidized fertilizer this year reached 14.5 million people. This pukpuk recipient has been adjusted by name by address.

"That's what regulations can receive subsidized fertilizers for nine commodities," he said.
