Paid Operational Third Day, High Speed Train Serves Around 7,000 Passengers

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) noted that as many as 7,000 passengers had used the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train orASH on the third day of implementing paid operations.

For your information, this mode of transportation officially operates commercially starting October 17. The number of passengers accumulated from the first day of operation until Thursday, October 19, 2023.

General Manager Corporate Secretary of PT KCIC Eva Chairunisa said there were four trains running with an occupancy reaching 96 percent, while a number of other trains were in occupancy ranging from 40 to 70 percent.

"The number of passengers has almost doubled when compared to the number of passengers on Wednesday, October 18, 2023," Eva said in an official statement, Friday, October 20.

Eva said that in total there were around 31,000 tickets sold for Fast Train travel from 17 to 23 October.

"KCIC appeals to people who have purchased tickets until October 23, 2023, to pay attention to their travel schedule again, because if they are lagging behind the train, the tickets that have been purchased cannot be returned," he said.

Furthermore, Eva also said changes to the schedule and cancellation of travel can only be made at the station counter with a time limit of two hours before the train departure schedule.

"Looking at the high public interest in train travel, KCIC adds up to 12 new travel schedules for Fast Trains, especially for departures this weekend on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays," he said.

Eva said that people who will use the Fast Train This weekend can immediately buy tickets through the Fast TrainASH application as well as ticket sales applications that have collaborated, such as Access By KAI and Livin Mandiri.

In addition, continued Eva, purchases can also be made through the ticket.kcic.co.id website, counters and ticketverse machines at the station.

For your information, KCIC is currently providing a ticket promo for a high-speed train of IDR 150,000 for one trip and for all purposes. The price is valid from 18 October to 30 November.
