No Monopoly, TikTok Sellers Connected To Lazada And Shopee

JAKARTA - The TikTok video application has now become one of the largest platforms in the world. Who would have thought, TikTok is said to have created many successful entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

The online trading trend through TikTok Shop is also recognized as a promising stepping stone for Rifai, who is the owner of the Tiktok Shop @NifStore1 account.

Based on observations, the @NifStore1 account that sells flour with sugary and can be formed into various works of art, already has a total of 34,000 followers.

"Please help with tap-tap. Let's try the product, the flour includes sugar. There is a genuine taste, melon and wine," said Rifai while doing a live stream on her TikTok account, quoted Tuesday, September 26.

Rifai also said that the processed sugarball flour products he made were old-age and domestically made hawker products.

"This product is native to local products. Everything is ripe, it has been broken down. This is an old-school snack," added Rifai.

Rifai also received appreciation from his followers for making the flour, he always wears gloves so that his processed products become hygienic and look neat.

In its bio, the @NifStore1 account provides information that sales of this product can also be accessed on Shopee and Lazada. This dismissed the notion that TikTok Shop's monopoly was proven incorrect, and various accounts on TikTok Shop seemed to give buyers access to various e-commerce.

Previously, the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop), Teten Masduki said, TikTok carried out a monopoly, because it ran the social media and e-commerce business simultaneously. The statement of the Coordinating Minister for Teten, against the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (IDEA).

Bima Laga as the General Chair of IdEA revealed that it is the right to determine whether a platform is monopolizing or not, is the Business Competition Supervision Commission (KPPU).

"The one who determines the monopoly, of course, we have an institution, namely KPPU. Because the monopoly means a lot. If for example there is no other payment, it is used, if there is another payment, it may not be called a monopoly," explained Bima Laga.
