JAKARTA - SKK Migas launched a digital catalog or website-based digital marketplace that will be used by upstream oil and gas Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKS Contractors) to purchase goods and services directly and online.

Like e-commerce in general, the IOG E-Commerce is easy to access and use. This system will display superior products from providers who have collaborated with the KKS Contractor. Currently, more than 1,000 products have been registered with this IOG E-Commerce. This system has also facilitated a faster and easier ordering tracking process.

"The presence of the IOG E-Commerce brings a number of benefits for the procurement of goods and services at the KKS Contractor, including making the procurement of goods and services more effective, efficient, competitive, fair and responsible," said Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto, Thursday, September 21.

Dwi added that the fast-running transaction process on this system will increase the production process. All process flows are synchronized so that the transaction process can be carried out efficiently and effectively controlled.

"The target of this interaction is to make business transactions between the two parties based on customer satisfaction," said Dwi.

He further explained that the IOG E-Commerce is also integrated with the Centralized Integrated Vendor Database (CIVD) system which is an online system for the implementation of a central and integrated qualification assessment of goods and services providers between KKS Contractors and a database of qualification assessment results for administrative, occupational safety and Environmental Protect (K3LL) aspects, and other qualification data.

"This IOG E-commerce will expand the opportunity for companies in Indonesia to become upstream oil and gas KKS Contractors," said Dwi.

The IOG E-Commerce was built in collaboration with SKK Migas with 27 KKS Contractors. Procurement of goods and services is one of the strategic aspects that support upstream oil and gas industry activities.

"Today's launch of the IOG e-Commerce is one of a series of digitalization programs in the upstream oil and gas supply chain that we have developed in the last six years," said Dwi.

Just so you know, for 2023, until August the value of procurement of goods and services in the upstream oil and gas industry reached around 5 billion US dollars.

Digitalization of procurement is expected to support the achievement of the mid-oil and gas industry vision in 2030, namely increasing oil production to 1 million BOPD and gas production of 12 BSCFD.
