Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that the government is committed to continuing to improve national logistics performance through various policies.

This is realized through the implementation of the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) as a form of synergy and collaboration of information systems between agencies and business actors to increase national logistics efficiency.

"I strongly support the NLE implementation target whose implementation is expanded at 32 seaports and 6 airports for 2023. And it is hoped that this coordination will also be implemented by all echelon 1 officials to the technical level so that the NLE achievements can continue to be pursued," he said in a press release Thursday, September 14.

According to Airlangga, the implementation of NLE shows a positive impact such as the Single Submission Customs Quarantine (SSm QC) which has succeeded in streamlining up to 22.37 percent of the time, and saving 33.48 percent of the cost or reaching Rp191.32 billion.

Airlangga noted that the calculation of logistics costs showed Indonesia's national logistics costs of 14.29 percent of GDP for the 2022 period.

"This calculation is carried out in order to measure the achievement of policy targets for improving the national logistics system as one of the supporters of accelerating national economic growth," he said.

"The results of calculating national logistics costs will be a guide for the government in drafting policies to increase the effectiveness of the logistics system and national supply chain in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), as well as one of the references in assessing economic competitiveness by business actors and investors," he stressed.

Airlangga also encourages collaboration between stakeholders so that strengthening logistics and national supply chains is not limited to system integration but also human infrastructure and resources to continue.

"In the future, strong synergy and collaboration, as well as effective coordination, are also expected between regions, because logistics also have its effects everywhere, including in the inflation management program. So this is expected to be a tool so that in the future we can maintain inflation so that our economic growth can be of high quality," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
