This is stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 28 of 2016 jo. Jisman said, in accordance with these provisions, the macroeconomic parameters used for the Fourth Quarter of 2023 are May, June, and July 2023, namely the exchange rate of Rp. 14,927.54 per US dollar, the ICP of 71.51 US dollars per barrel, inflation of 0.15 percent, and the price of HBA of 70 US dollars per ton according to the Batubara Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) policy.

"Based on the four parameters, electricity tariff adjustments should be adjusted or tariff adjustments for non-subsidized customers to increase when compared to tariffs in the third quarter of 2023 set. However, to maintain people's purchasing power and industrial competitiveness at this time, the government has decided that electricity tariffs will not change or remain," said Jisman, Wednesday, September 13.

Jisman further added that electricity tariffs for 25 subsidized groups of customers also did not change, and electricity subsidies were still provided, including social customers, poor households, small businesses, small industries, and customers whose electricity allocation is for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources continues to encourage PT PLN (Persero) to always try to take operational efficiency steps and spur sales of electricity more aggressively," concluded Jisman.
