Jokowi Proud! ASEAN 43rd Summit Produces 93 Projects Worth IDR 584 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT) resulted in many benefits for the economy.

In this event, said Jokowi, there are many decisions that have been made.

Jokowi revealed that one of them was producing 93 projects worth 38.2 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 584 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 15,300 per US dollar).

Jokowi said the decisions made included the declaration of an east leader regarding the epicenter of growth, then the development of the EV battery ecosystem and the acceleration of the implementation of the Regional Cross Border Payment and Local Currency Transaction.

"For the implementation of AIPF which has produced, this is concrete. Produced 93 projects worth 38.2 billion US dollars. This is concrete cooperation that is beneficial for the people," he said at a press conference at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 7.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that ASEAN as the epicenter of growth or the center of economic growth is the right thing to discuss in the 43rd ASEAN Summit.

"Regarding whether the growth epicenter is right? Considering that there is still Myanmar's business. Right. Very appropriate. Because in the midst of rivalry and geopolitical tension, this world needs a axis to keep turning on its path," he said.

ASEAN has great potential for that because our growth in ASEAN is above the world average. Demographic bonuses also exist. Political stability is also maintained, and I see that it is Indonesia's duty with other ASEAN countries to ensure that ASEAN ships must continue to sail," he continued.

For your information, Indonesia's presence in ASEAN has officially ended with the closure of the Implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit. The implementation of the ASEAN Summit will be led by Laos.
