Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said the pace of the Jabodebek LRT train was getting smoother.

When visiting Cikoko Station, Cawang, he predicted that this station would be crowded with passengers.

The reason, said Budi, is that Cikoko Station is an intermodal crossing station.

This means that the Jabodebek LRT will be integrated with other modes of transportation such as MRT to TransJakarta.

This was conveyed by Budi after checking the readiness of the Jakarta Integrated Highway service, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (LRT Jabodebek) before it was inaugurated on August 22.

"We are trying again the LRT today and the train speed is running smoothly. I stopped at Cikoko LRT Station, here it is projected that it will be very crowded because it is a crossover between modes such as Transjakarta and Jabodetabek KRL," he said in an official statement, quoted Wednesday, August 23.

Budi said that at Cikoko LRT Station, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will build a number of supporting facilities, including park and ride facilities.

Furthermore, the Minister of Transportation revealed that the inauguration of the Jabodebek LRT is expected to be carried out at the end of August 2023.

The operation of the Jabodebek LRT will later be carried out conservatively. This means that the number of trips will continue to be increased gradually," he said.

For your information, the Jabodebek LRT has a total of 27 trains per train set. It is planned that in the early stages of operation, 10 to 12 series of trains or train sets will be operated.

Later, the number will continue to be increased by paying attention to public interest. Targeted, in October, the train will be fully operational.
