Deploy 43,689 Perseonel, PLN Secures Electricity Supply In 1305 Independence Anniversary Commemoration Locations

PT PLN (Persero) has alerted 2,020 standby posts by deploying 43,689 technical service personnel to secure reliable electricity supply at 1,305 locations to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) throughout the country.

In addition, PLN also deployed 184 High Voltage High Voltage (TT) and Medium Voltage (TM) Working Teams to make the celebration a success, PLN has ensured the readiness of the electricity of all units, both from generators, transmission to distribution networks.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo explained, during the standby period of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day which was set from August 16 to 18, 2023, PLN was on standby starting from the presidential state speech, tasyakuran night, flag-raising ceremonies, flag-raising ceremonies to other supporting agendas.

"We make sure the electricity supply on the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is reliable. We have just carried out direct monitoring and assessments to all units and sub-holdings. All have carried out preventive maintenance starting from the generator, transmission to the distribution network, all of which are normal status (power reserves are larger than the largest generating capacity operating)," said Darmawan Thursday, August 17.

Darmawan continued, PLN's readiness to oversee the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia was also supported by a layered security scheme supported by equipment in the form of generators as many as 971 units, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) as many as 373 units, Mobile Substation Units (UGB) as many as 1,070 units, and cranes as many as 150 units.

In addition, PLN. In order to facilitate the mobility of the personnel on standby, PLN equipped its personnel with 3,269 cars and 3,421 motorbikes. PLN also imposes restrictions on work that has the potential to cause disturbances, except for emergency conditions.
