JAKARTA - ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd signed a contract for the procurement of the Banyu Urip Infill Classic drilling rig with PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) on Thursday 10 August.

The signing of this contract was carried out by Muhammad Nurdin Senior Vice President Production ExxonMobil Indonesia and Rio Dasmanto, President Director of PDSI, witnessed by the Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto, Deputy for Business Support Rudi Satwiko, Deputy for Exploitation of Wahju Wibowo, President of ExxonMobil Indonesia Carole Gall and related ranks.

"The signing of the rig procurement contract for Banyu Urip Infill Classic drilling which we witnessed today is a representation of the success of collaboration between EMCL, PHE and PDSI to accelerate rig revenue so that the drilling schedule can be moved from the original September 2024 to February 2024," said Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Dwi Soetjipto quoted Friday, August 11.

Dwi explained that the drilling to be carried out was an execution of the project that received incentives from the Government and estimated that it would produce reserves of more than 42 million barrels and prove reserves of reservoir plastics.

"I express my high appreciation to the Cooperation Contract Contract Contract Contractor for the Cepu Cooperation Area, especially the ExxonMobil Cepu Limited operator who has worked hard so that today's agreement can be signed," said Dwi.

Dwi hopes that good work can continue when the execution of the Banyu Urip Infill Classic drilling is realized because it is a very strategic job as one of the work programs to contain the production decline rate in Banyu Urip.

"We all know that Banyu Urip Field is one of the largest contributors to national oil production today. For this reason, the execution of this drilling program is expected to be carried out on time and efficiently, because the dynamics of Banyu Urip greatly affects national production," said Dwi.
