KAI Continues To Perfect Preparations Ahead Of The Inauguration Of The Jabodebek LRT

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) continues to make preparations on various sides to ensure the operation of the Jabodebek LRT can run well. In accordance with government directives, the LRT will be inaugurated and start operating for the public on August 26, 2023.

KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo said all Jabodebek LRT operations were carried out automatically without a driver, using the Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system with Grade of Automation (GoA) level 3.

"This is the first time the system has been implemented in Indonesia has been improved so that when serving customers, they can operate smoothly, safely, and comfortably," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, August 10.

Didiek said the Jabodebek LRT Project is a national strategic government project carried out by the nation's children. Collaboration is carried out with various parties from INKA as a provider of facilities, LEN as a provider of the signal system, and Adhi Karya as a contractor.

"And the relevant regional governments that support the integration of mode transportation," said Didiek.

Didiek said the construction of the Jabodebek LRT was carried out through the solid cooperation of various parties to deal with the dynamics and various challenges that exist. So that it will be able to pursue project completion with current progress has reached 98.26 percent.

The implementation of testing continues to ensure that the integration between the system, signaling, electricity, infrastructure, trains, and other supporting components runs well.

In connection with the complexity of testing, said Didiek, continuous adjustments and trials are needed. So that it achieves optimal conditions to ensure the safety and comfort aspects of passengers.

"We would like to thank all those who have supported so that we will feel the LRT together with its services soon. We also ask for the support of all people so that when operating later, they can provide the best service and contribute to reducing congestion in the capital," concluded Didiek.
