JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) targets that the offices of ministries and institutions in IKN can be partially completed in 2024.

Thus, a number of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in charge of central ministries and core institutions are planned to start working and based in IKN next year.

Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force of the Ministry of PUPR, Danis H Sumadilaga, said that because not all office buildings were ready, later state officials would work to share the office space that was already available or called the sharing office.

"For the initial stage (development of the ministry/institutional office) sharing office," said Danis in Jakarta, Thursday, August 10.

However, Danis ensured that the concept of sharing office would not last permanently. This is because gradually each ministry office will be built separately.

"However, there will be their own building for each ministry. This (sharing office), right, for 2024," he said.

Danis explained that the ministry office in IKN is planned to be built in 4 complex areas of the ministry building which are divided in accordance with the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) that oversees it.

In each area, 4 office buildings will be built. This means that there will be 16 office buildings for ministries and institutions to be built at IKN Nusantara.

"With an area of 16 buildings, we calculate per square meter, in average, it can accommodate 12,000 ASN," he said.

According to him, the Ministry of PUPR will be the first to move to IKN Nusantara.

"The design (office of the Ministry of PUPR) has been completed. This is currently preparing for the procurement process," he said.
