"The performance of the coal sales segment is also supported by the growth in in-house production, PT Truba Bara Banyu Enim (TBBE) which produces 511.8K MT coal, an increase of 28.5 percent YoY since operating in February last year," Tony told the media, Tuesday, June 20.
He added that in-house coal production contributed 51.2 percent of the total coal sales volume.
According to him, the increase in the contribution of in-house coal sales is also an indicator of effective efficiency with lower production costs through the affiliate of in-house mining contractors.
He further said, until the May 2023 period, RMKE managed to dismantle 1,970 train sets with a capacity of 5.2 million MT of coal, or grew by 19.7 percent YoY compared to the same period last year.
The company also managed to load 473 barges with a capacity of 3.7 million MT of coal, or a significant growth of 36.2 percent YoY.
The increase in coal unloading and loading is inseparable from the timeliness of train unloading which was 38 minutes faster to 03:21 hours per train set compared to the same period last year for 04:00 hours.
Then the use of fuel increased by 26.8 percent YoY in line with the increase in the volume of coal services, but the ratio of fuel use per MT of coal became more efficient from 0.92 liters per tonne last year to 0.86 liters per ton this year.
