After The Vesak Long Holiday, 154,924 Vehicles Returned To Jabotabek

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted, as many as 154,924 vehicles returned to the Jabotabek area during the long holiday period for the Birthday of Pancasila and Vesak 2023, or to be precise on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (from Merak), Ciawi GT (from Puncak), Cikampek Utama GT (from Trans Java), and Kalihurip Utama GT (from Bandung).

"The total volume of traffic returning to the Jabotabek area increased by 15.7 percent compared to normal traffic with a total of 133,889 vehicles," said Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana in a written statement, Monday, June 5.

Lisye said, for the distribution of traffic back to Jabotabek from three directions, namely the majority of 75,962 vehicles (49.0 percent) from the East (Trans Java and Bandung), 37,510 vehicles (24.2 percent) from the West (Merak), and 41,452 vehicles (26.8 percent) from the South (Puncak) direction.

As for the details of the traffic distribution, namely traffic returning to Jabotabek from the direction of Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 32,274 vehicles or an increase of 11.1 percent from normal traffic.

Then, traffic returned to Jabotabek from the direction of Bandung via the Main Kalihurip GT of the Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 43,688 vehicles, an increase of 43.9 percent from normal traffic.

"Total lalin kembali ke Jabotabek dari arah Trans Jawa dan Bandung melalui kedua GT tersebut sebanyak 75.962 kendaraan atau meningkat 27,8 persen dari lalin normal.

Next, traffic returns to Jabotabek from Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road as many as 37,510 vehicles or 10.7 percent lower than normal traffic.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek from Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 41,452 vehicles, an increase of 27.6 percent from normal traffic.

"There will still be an increase in traffic to Jabotabek which will be the peak of backflow. We predict around 191,919 vehicles will return to Jabotabek," said Lisye.

Furthermore, said Lisye, Jasa Marga appealed to road users to anticipate trips before entering the toll road.

Ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, ensure the adequacy of fuel and electronic money balances, and comply with signs and directions from officers.
