The total investment value of the project reached IDR 420 trillion.

"A total of 58 projects worth IDR 420 trillion, will be completed in 2024," said Airlangga attending the commemoration of the joint implementation of the National Strategic Project (PSN) at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Sunday, May 15.

He admitted that 150 PSNs had been completed for eight years.

The hundreds of PSN include dams, bridges, creative economy (SEZ) areas, and mass rapid transit (MRT).

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Implementing Team of the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) Wahyu Utomo added that the total projects that have been completed have now reached 156 with a value of Rp1,080 trillion.

"So this year until the end of the year and next year, we hope that there will be 58 more projects completed with a value of around Rp420 trillion," he said.

Wahyu explained that the National Strategic Project was set by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo through Presidential Decree No. 3 of 2016. The year 2023 is the eighth year of the implementation of PSN.

Just so you know, KPPIP is tasked with supervising and accelerating the development of priority infrastructure in Indonesia.

One of the main functions of KPPIP is as a point of contact in the implementation of coordination for the debottlenecking of National Strategic Projects and Priority Projects aimed at developing infrastructure in key sectors such as transportation, energy, drinking water, sanitation, and telecommunications.

"The government will continue to strive in accordance with the direction of the President, there will be no more stalled projects in 2024. Of course, this requires support from the whole community," said Wahyu.

Wahyu said, KPPIP held a series of PSN Sewindu activities which were held from May to October 2023 as a means of increasing awareness, stimulating interest, and educating the public, especially the younger generation of Indonesia, regarding the important role of PSN in national economic development and a sustainable life, as a way to realize Indonesia's big vision of Golden 2045.

One of the series of PSN Sewindu activities is a leisurely walk which will be carried out this Sunday.

Public enthusiasm in supporting infrastructure development can also be seen from the number of casual road participants who almost reached 3,000 participants from the initial target of 2,000 participants.

"We hope that this activity can imply to all of us that PSN must continue to be carried out and accelerated so that we can build a more sustainable economy, social justice and welfare towards Indonesia Gold 2045," he concluded.
