Pupuk Indonesia Introduces Nusantara Cloth At The ASEAN 2023 Summit

LABUAN BAJO - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) also introduced nusantara cloth to delegates from ASEAN 2023 Summit participating countries in Labuan Bajo. The archipelago fabrics displayed are MSME products fostered by Subsidiaries, namely PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Pusri Palembang, and PT Pupuk Kaltim.

SVP TJSL Pupuk Indonesia Rika Susanty said that there were eight MSMEs fostered by Pupuk Indonesia Group featuring nusantara fabrics and several batik-motivated products. All of these products take part in the 2023 BUMN SME's HUB Home in Labuan Bajo.

Pupuk Indonesia welcomes the BUMN SME's HUB 2023 house which is still part of the ASEAN Summit activities. Through this BUMN SME's HUB Home, Pupuk Indonesia can introduce the archipelago cloth, which is currently the heritage of the archipelago (wastra)," said Rika Susanty, in her statement, Thursday, May 11.

The eight MSMEs fostered by Pupuk Indonesia Group are Lembayung Ethnic which sells typical Palembang batik fashion products, Batik Kuntul Perak which sells typical Kalimantan batik cloth, Optimisticie Gems (OG) Jewelry is an MSME that sells jewelry accessories, Batik Gedog Zaenal sells a typical Sekar Jagat batik cloth, Wakik Tambal, Rembulan, and Sogo Pipit.

Pastera sells goods such as bags, Sewet Jumputan sells a typical Palembang batik shirt, Zulpah Batik Madura sells batik, a typical of Madura and Batik, Wet Rice, selling batik, written from Kalimantan.

Pupuk Indonesia appreciates SOE Minister Erick Thohir for providing opportunities for MSMEs fostered by Pupuk Indonesia Group to take part in the 2023 SME's HUB BUMN Home in Labuan Bajo. According to Rika, the Nusantara cloth and other products exhibited by Pupuk Indonesia have gone through a very strict curation process from the BUMN Ministry team.

"Therefore, we appreciate the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, who has provided opportunities for MSME products fostered by Pupuk Indonesia Group to appear at SME's HUB. That way the products of Indonesian fabrics and other products can be seen directly by the delegates of countries participating in the ASEAN Summit 2023 event in Labuan Bajo," said Rika.

During his working visit, the number one person at the Ministry of SOEs took the time to visit the Pupuk Indonesia Group exhibition booth. He also received an explanation of the archipelago fabric and several other products of MSMEs fostered by Pupuk Indonesia.

Erick revealed that the BUMN SME's Hub House aims to promote and help MSMEs to increase competitiveness as well as open global market access so that they can encourage Indonesian MSMEs worldwide.

"We must encourage these MSMEs to go global, one of which is an exhibition involving visitors from abroad. We need to realize that MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy which opens many job opportunities. They can make the nation proud with global products," said Erick.

SME's HUB is an effort to introduce Indonesian MSMEs to the international community. This activity is the Side Event of the ASEAN 2023 Summit which was held from 9 to 13 May 2023 at Marina Waterfront Labuan Bajo. At this event there were 50 MSME actors involved, 10 of whom were local MSMEs and the rest were MSMEs fostered by BUMN houses and other ministries.
