JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) posted a net profit in the first quarter of 2023 of IDR 497.6 billion, an increase of 58 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

Lisye said that the company's positive performance improvement was also reflected in the achievement of operating income of IDR 3.4 trillion or grew 6 percent, which was a contribution from the toll revenue performance of IDR 3.0 trillion, which increased 2.7 percent from the first quarter of 2022 and the contribution of other operating income performance of IDR 372.2 billion, an increase of 44.4 percent from the same period in the previous year.
The company's EBITDA realization was also maintained, reaching Rp2.2 trillion, with the realization of an EBITDA margin above 60 percent, reaching a level of 64.3 percent amid the operation of new toll roads and increasing community mobilization which became a positive catalyst for the increase in the volume of the Company's traffic.
Until the first quarter of 2023, the Company still holds the position of market leader in the toll road industry with a total length of Jasa Marga Group toll roads that have operated 1,260 km which represents 50 percent of toll roads operating throughout Indonesia.

With the implementation of this groundbreaking, the construction of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road for the Probolinggo-Besuki Section has begun in phase I which is divided into 3 packages of construction work, namely Package 1 Gending to Kraksaan (12.88 km), Package 2 Kraksaan to Paiton (11.20 km) and Package 3 Paiton to Besuki (25.60 km).
