Supporting Homecoming Flow, Ministry Of PUPR Functions Gedebage KM 149 Toll Access Until April 29

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has opened the Gedebage KM 149 Toll Road Padalarang-Cileunyi as a functional toll road to support the smooth flow of the 2023 Eid homecoming in the West Java region.

The toll access will be functionalized from Thursday, April 20, 2023 to Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Director General (Dirjen) of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedi Rahadian said the opening of the Gedebage Access Functional Toll Road KM 149 Padalarang-Cileunyi Toll Road based on the results of a limited load test stating that the toll road construction can be passed by non-Bus Class I vehicles.

"During its temporary functional period, PT Jasamarga (Persero) Tbk. as BUJT (Toll Road Business Agency) to continue to monitor intensively the condition of the pile slab and bridge structure while still installing instruments and placing officers (related experts/engineers) to monitor at the location," Hedi said through a press release, quoted Friday, April 21.

The Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR through the DKI Jakarta-West Jakarta-Java National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) as the Head of the Functionalization Preparation Task Force for the Gedebage KM 149 Toll Road Requests, assistance units/saving and assistance for toll road services that have been operating on the Padalarang-Cileunyi Toll Road to be used to serve the functional of the toll access.

With the functional Access to Gedebage KM 149 Padalarang-Cileunyi Toll Road, Hedy hopes that the toll road can help unravel congestion in the event of a spike in traffic, especially at the Cileunyi Toll Gate.

"Homecomers can be directed to the KM 149 Gedebage Toll Access, then directed to the Gedebage-Soekarno Hatta arterial road to Cileunyi or Garut via Kamojang," he concluded.
