Bahar Smith Strict Security Viral, Three Avsec Soetta Airport Gets The Toughest Sanctions

JAKARTA - Video of Aviation Security (Avsec) officers at Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta) picking up and accompanying Bahar bin Smith, who had just gotten off the plane, went viral on Twitter social media. Not only escorting, the officer also kissed his hand in the video.

Responding to this, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) emphasized that every Asvec officer must always comply with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

SM of Branch Communications & Legal Soekarno-Hatta Airport M. Holik Muardi said the SOP from Acsec Officers was to ensure flight safety and security by carrying out inspections of goods and people.

AP II has learned that there are 3 non-organic avsecs that have violated SOPs and disciplinary actions while serving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Friday, March 3, 2023.

"The three Avsecs committed serious violations, namely leaving the work area without reporting to their immediate superiors, then picking up and assisting passengers, where this is not an SOP from Avsec," said Holik, in an official statement, Friday, March 31.

"This action is a gross and highly unjustified SOP violation because it can have an impact on security aspects that we all don't want," he continued.

For violations of the SOP and disciplinary action, said Holik, strict action was taken by giving the heaviest sanctions according to the work agreement to the three Avsecs.
