PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the Indonesian capital market.

This MoU is an effort to support the development of the Indonesian capital market and accelerate its use for the environment of state-owned companies and their subsidiaries.

This procession was followed by the signing of an MoU between the IDX and PT Biro Classification Indonesia (Persero) which is one of the state-owned companies. The MoU was signed by IDX President Director Iman Rachman and President Director of PT Biro Classification Indonesia (Persero) Arisudono Soerono. Meanwhile, the collaboration between the IDX and PT Bureau of Classification Indonesia (Persero) is in the context of developing and implementing the carbon market in Indonesia.

IDX President Director Iman Rachman hopes that cooperation with the Ministry of SOEs can increase added value, transparency, and company accountability as well as BUMN subsidiaries. Which will help increase the company's competitiveness at the national and global levels.

"The scope of cooperation between the IDX and the Ministry of SOEs can support the development of the capital market through socialization, education, and assistance regarding going public, as well as the issuance of other capital market funding instruments for companies and BUMN subsidiaries," said Iman quoting Antara, Monday, February 27.

He said this collaboration also includes the development and implementation of good governance (Good Corporate Governance), Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), as well as cooperation in advancing the startup ecosystem, especially in the BUMN environment.

Through this collaboration, his party is committed to providing education about investment in the capital market.

In addition, he hopes that this collaboration can increase the number of companies and state-owned enterprises listed on the IDX, thereby increasing governance from SOEs and their subsidiaries, as well as increasing the liquidity of the Indonesian capital market.
