Handling Problem-problemed Cooperatives, Kemenkop UKM Forms For Special Teams

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) formed a special team to handle problematic cooperative cases. This continues the work of the task force (task force) which has ended in handling cases of eight problematic cooperatives.

"With the end of the task force for handling problematic cooperatives, a special team is needed to provide assistance and monitoring of problematic cooperatives," said Deputy for Cooperatives at the Coordinating Ministry for SMEs Ahmad Zabadi quoting Antara, Sunday, February 26.

The eight problematic cooperatives are the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP), the Wahana Sentosa Blessing Service Cooperative, KSP Sejahtera Bersama, KSP Pracico Inti Utama, KSP Pracico Inti Sejahtera, KSP Intidana, KSP Timur Pratama Indonesia, and KSP Lima Garuda.

The Kemenkop UKM, said Zabadi, has given the team four tasks. First, provide assistance to annual member meetings (RAT) for eight problematic cooperatives.

The second task is to carry out daily monitoring of eight problematic cooperatives related to the payment of the PKPU peace scheme that has been homologated by the court.

Furthermore, the third task is to mediate related to the handling of eight problematic cooperatives.

Fourth, coordinating with administrators and supervisors of eight problematic cooperatives and finally in charge of reporting assistance and monitoring to the Deputy for Cooperatives of the Kemenkop UKM.

In January 2022, the Kemenkop UKM has formed a task force to handle eight problematic cooperatives to respond to public complaints over problematic cooperatives.

This is in line with the government's duty to protect the community, including members of problematic cooperatives. Members of the task force come from across ministries/agencies (K/L) as well as from law enforcement officers to the community.

The formation of the task force is also carried out to carry out more systematic supervision and can ensure that the PKPU decision is carried out correctly.

The average implementation of the PKPU decision is carried out between 2021 and 2026. The decision time is considered quite long and there are still problematic cooperatives that have not met the expectations of cooperative members.

In general, the task force has the scope of inventory and asset assessment by appraisal independent (land, buildings, and others such as receivables), conducting analysis of problematic cooperative inventory results including legal aspects, checking locations, and checking problematic cooperatives.

Then, prepare recommendations for handling problematic cooperatives, supervise the payment stage process, and carry out monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
