Super Micro People's Business Credit (KUR) was launched to respond quickly to economic conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. KUR has a small interest rate of 3 percent used by small business actors.

The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, witnessed virtually the launch of the Super Micro KUR which was held in Solo, Saturday, February 25. Ganjar hopes that this will encourage the people's economic independence.

"We thank the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy because Central Java was chosen as a place to launch Super Micro Credit with very small interest rates, 3 percent per year. And Solo is used as its place with Bank Jateng," he said.

Ganjar said the election for Central Java as the launch site for the Super Micro KUR was not without reason. But the economic conditions that Ganjar thinks must be responded to quickly.

"I'm happy, I took my hat off, because the government responded very quickly first," he said.

Ganjar then told the process of KUR's journey, which President Joko Widodo continued to lower interest rates. From the original interest rate of 12 percent, it fell to 9 percent. Then, the interest fell to 6 percent and currently the interest has fallen to 3 percent.

Central Java, said Ganjar, first had a KUR with an interest rate of 7 percent which was then followed by the central government with 6 percent. Then Central Java was also a trial ground for micro-business loans for livestock with a 6 percent interest rate in Wonogiri.

"It turns out that there are very many special wabils for small and micro businesses, and Alhamdulillah this is optimal in Central Java because we have been the highest KUR distributors for almost 2 consecutive years in Indonesia," he explained.

"What does that mean, people really feel that they are benefiting. The local government's assistance, from banks, is important for us to encourage independence at the small and micro entrepreneurship levels," added Ganjar.

The former member of the DPR RI said this quick response was in line with the MSME program to advance to class. Furthermore, Ganjar encouraged the Central Java Cooperatives and MSMEs Office to continue to assist small business actors.

"Well, with this 3 percent super micro credit, we hope that there will be far more small business actors. Later, small businesses can access this and after launching we will assist. We will gaspol and we will report to the special wabil community to the SMEs that we have fostered, develop again, use this facility so that their business can progress," he said.
