JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo has officially proposed the name Perry Warjiyo to return to his position as Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) for the next period.

Responding to Jokowi's decision, BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja revealed that Perry is the most worthy person to occupy the position of number one in the seat of Indonesia's central bank.

According to him, as long as Perry takes the lead, Indonesian inflation tends to be controlled and liquidity can be managed properly.

"He has done his best. The exchange rate is under control, inflation is controlled and liquidity is well regulated and I think he deserves to continue his position as governor of BI," said Jahja who was met after opening the BCA Expoversary in Tangerang, Thursday, February 23.
