Not Only Merpati, Jokowi Officially Disbanded PT Kertas Leces

JAKARTA - PT Kertas Leces (Persero) is officially reported by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The dissolution of this state-owned company is contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 9 of 2023.

The Government Regulation Number 8 of 2023 concerning the Disbandment of the Company (Persero) PT Kertas Leces was signed by Jokowi on February 20. The regulation was immediately applied on the same day.

The Leces Paper Factory was dissolved because it was declared bankrupt by the Commercial Court at the Surabaya District Court Number 1 / Pdt.Sus. Cancellation of Peace 2Ol8 / PN Niaga Sby. Jo Number 5 / Pdt.Sus-PKPU / 2014 / PN Niaga Sby. September 25, 2018.

PT Kertas Leces' company (Persero) was declared bankrupt and caused the Company's PI paper leces' bankruptcy to be in a state of insolence, "the PP reads, quoted Wednesday, February 22.

Article 2 of the regulation explains that the implementation of liquidation in the context of disbanding the Company (Persero) PT Kertas Leces with the provisions of laws and regulations in the field of State-Owned Enterprises, laws and regulations in the field of Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations, laws and regulations in the field of Limited Liability Company and other laws and regulations.

Then, Article 3 also explains that the completion of the disbandment of the Company (Persero) PT Kertas Leces including liquidation is carried out no later than nine years from the time the Company (Persero) PT Kertas Leces was declared bankrupt.

"All the remaining assets of the company's liquidation (Persero) PT Kertas Leces as referred to in Article 2 are deposited into the State Treasury," reads Article 4.
