JAKARTA - The government through the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto has officially started the 2023 Pre-Employment Card program for wave 48. This was conveyed by Airlangga when holding a virtual press conference today.

"The 48th batch of Pre-Employment Card Programs can be registered by participants as of today, Friday, February 17, 2023," he said, Friday, February 17.

Airlangga explained, starting this year there has been an adjustment to the Pre-Employment Card scheme which is no longer a semi-social assistance (bansos) as the COVID-19 pandemic is under control. Meanwhile, the basis for implementing the program refers to Presidential Decree No. 113 of 2022 and the government's Working Committee meeting.

Due to this policy, the incentive value received by participants will be lower than the implementation of the program in the last three years.

"In 2023 the Pre-Employment Card will be carried out normally with a focus on increasing the ability of participants so that the portion of training costs is higher than incentives," he said.

For information, the opening of wave 48 targets a maximum of 10,000 participants. It is stated that participants must be between 18 and 64 years old and register directly through www.prakerja.go.id.

"The government limits the quota of participants because they adjust the registration of training institutions. The number of participants will continue to be added to the next waves," said Airlangga.

Meanwhile, for the entire 2023 period, the government is targeting 595,000 participants to be able to participate in the Pre-Employment Card program.
