Sales Of Growing Electricity 6.3 Percent, PLN Boss Disbursed The Request Genjot Step

JAKARTA - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo revealed that PLN's electricity sales grew by 6.3 percent in 2022 or managed to sell 274 TWh of electricity.

According to him, this number is 16.1 twh higher or 22.2 trillion in 2021 of 257 TWh. In fact, it is 10.7 TWh higher than the 2022 RKAP target, namely 263 TWh.

"We appreciate the board of directors and all PLN for innovative marketing and captive acquisition," Darmawan continued in a hearing (RDP) with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 15.

Darmawan said, regarding the increasing sales of electricity, his party carried out various extraordinary efforts. In addition, PLN is also 'torn' an industry that still operates its own generator in order to collaborate and use electricity owned by PLN and manage to sell large amounts of electricity.

"We are collaborating whether the electricity can use PLN and the number is quite large," added Darmawan.

In addition, PLN also provides discounts on additional power for the community at a higher and more affordable price so that electricity consumption has increased significantly.

"We are also building an Electrifying Lifestyle, Electrifying Agriculture and Electrifying Marine," explained Darmawan.

Regarding Electrifying Marine, he explained, ships docked at the port are now using PLN electricity from previously using diesel.

One of them is by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Pelindo. reliable electricity supply at the port hopes to encourage conversion of fuel for ship operations to be electricity-based. In addition, Electrifying Marine is able to reduce dependence on the use of fuel.

Darmawan further added that his party also collaborated with the Development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and special industrial areas and smelters.

"The positive impact is very healthy demand growth," he concluded.
