BANDUNG - Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and eWideplus Corp, a South Korean (South Korean) digital convergence company, are working together in developing artificial intelligence for the financial system.

eWideplus Corp specializes in global business, finance and environment.

The Vice Chancellor for ITB Research and Innovation, Prof. Wenten expressed his gratitude to eWideplus for trusting ITB to conduct joint research, supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, South Korea.

ITB is known for its research advantages in various fields of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and new technologies.

Meanwhile, eWideplus has experience developing centralized applications and systems for global financial technology projects including banking and asset management.

"With the aim of developing a decentralized transaction system, eWideplus will collaborate with ITB, which has the ability to carry out all necessary research and development activities, including the development, testing, and manufacture of prototypes," said Prof. Wenten as quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 12.

Joint research will involve exchange of academic material and will be conducted at the eWideplus Global R&D Collaboration Center in Korea.

"If needed, researchers from ITB can visit the Korean eWideplus for ease of development. ITB will cooperate with eWideplus as researchers and engineers, focusing on developing global AI technology," added Prof. Wenten.

Meanwhile, CEO of eWideplus Corp. Jang Hyouk Jun also expressed his gratitude to ITB for the cooperation that has been established.

Jang Hyouk Jun hopes that collaboration with ITB can benefit both parties.
