BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja Reminds Customers Do Not Ballai: KTP, ATM Card, Savings Book, PIN Is Life, Important To Maintain

JAKARTA - Cases regarding burglary of accounts from BCA customers in Surabaya are still being processed today. Responding to this, the President Director of PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk Jahja Setiaatmadja appealed to all customers to further protect banking confidential information data.

"I give general tips to all BCA customers, the name is KTP, ATM card, savings book, and PIN number is life. You save it well, because with an ATM card and PIN you can withdraw cash amounting to Rp. 10 million and transfer to another bank of up to Rp. 50 million, without an ID card and showing your face, you can withdraw cash," said Jahja at an online press conference. BCA Performance Exposure 2022, on Thursday, January 26.

According to him, such banking data is very important to maintain. Because, if the customer is negligent, the data can be used by irresponsible parties, so that the balance or money in the account can just be drained.

"I tell you how important it is to keep ATMs and PINs, not to be misused, so that unwanted things don't happen," he said.

On the same occasion, BCA's EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn ensured that the main perpetrator in the burglary case was not a pedicab driver but a resident who lived with BCA customers.

The case is now in court. The Company believes and believes that the justice system and law enforcement functions can provide justice in resolving this case. In addition, BCA also provided legal assistance for staff related to the case.

"So, because of this, we cannot enter the main material of the case because currently it is still in the trial process, we respect the ongoing trial process," he concluded.

For your information, Muin Zachry's Rp320 million was drained by a pedicab driver named Setu, in the city of Surabaya, East Java. The money was taken by Setu from Muin's Central Asia Bank (BCA) account through a bank teller.

Thoha took advantage of Setu, because his body and face looked like Muin. He then managed to trick the private bank officers by bringing the hundreds of millions of money.

Now, Setu and Thoha are being tried at the Surabaya District Court (PN).
