JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono asked the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to immediately complete the beautification and landing program, in March this year.

Basuki appreciated BUJT for completing the beautification and landing program on toll roads as part of sustainable toll road management.

He requested that BUJT, which is still in the implementation of beautification and landscaping with progress above 50 percent, be completed immediately.

"This program must be 100 percent completed by the end of March 2023," Basuki said in a press release, Monday, January 16.

As an effort to manage sustainable toll roads, the Ministry of PUPR continues to encourage BUJT to provide a better toll road environment, and pay attention to the aspect of fulfilling Minimum Service Standards (SPM) as stated in the Instruction of the Minister of PUPR as stated in the Letter of the Minister of PUPR No. BM.0702-Mn/1057 concerning the Work Plan for Quality Improvement of Toll Roads.

Minister Basuki believes that improving the quality of toll road services will have an impact on the comfort and safety of toll road users.

"We believe that a better toll road environment will contribute to the comfort and safety of driving on toll roads, especially not only roads, but also rest areas," he said.

It is recorded that there are 66 toll roads that have reported programs to improve the quality and aesthetics of toll roads with beautification and landing.

Until November 2022, there were a number of BUJTs that had carried out beautification and landing with 100 percent completion progress, including PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk for the Cawang-Tomang-Pluit Toll Road, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) for the Tanjung Priok Access Toll Road, PT Marga Mandalasakti for the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, PT Citra Karya Jabar Tol for the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Duuan Section 1 (Cileunyi-Pamulian) toll road, and PT Jasamarga Bali Toll Road for the Nusa Dua-Ngurai Rai-Benoa Toll Road.
