JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Housing noted that the One Million Houses Program (PSR) has reached 1,117,491 units throughout 2022.

"The progress of the One Million Houses Program as of December 31, 2022 is 1,117,491 units," said Director General of Housing at the Ministry of PUPR Iwan Suprijanto in his official statement, Friday, January 13.

Iwan explained that the achievements of the One Million Houses Program consisted of 835,597 housing units for low-income people (MBR) and 281,894 non-MBR housing units.

"PSR's achievement from 2015 to 2021 is 6,871,094 units. We are confident that with the achievement of PSR in 2022, more and more Indonesians can own, and live in livable houses," he said.

In 2022, the Directorate General of Housing has also made several strategic efforts to accelerate PSR data collection, including by integrating between data applications related to housing development, collaborating on PSR data collection with the Housing Provision Implementation Center (BP2P), and the local government as an extension. Based on the data held, the Ministry of PUPR has built 457,063 houses for MBR, 15,082 other ministries, and 63,052 local governments.

In addition, there are also housing built by developers, namely as many as 219,151 units, CSR housing 2,292 units, and the community 78,957 units.

The construction of non-MBR houses came from 224,913 developers and 56,981 units of the community.

"We hope that the One Million Houses Program can increase the enthusiasm of all stakeholders in the housing sector to build more like housing for the Indonesian people," concluded Iwan.
