Observers Call The SOE Omnibus Law To Improve The Performance Of Red Pelat Company

BUMN observer from the University of Indonesia, Toto Pranoto, revealed that the BUMN Omnibus Law can improve the performance of state-owned companies.

"With a more concise but dense regulation, the compliance side of SOEs can be improved. This means that the supervisory function can be easier to carry out. With this situation, it is hoped that the performance of SOEs can increase," Toto said as quoted by Antara, Friday, January 6.

Toto sees that during the 20 years the establishment of the Ministry of SOEs, there may have been 45 Ministerial Regulations (Permen) for SOEs issued, some of the rules for overlapping and some of them are irrelevant.

"The BUMN Omnibus Law idea is a simplification of the rules. So it needs simplification. This is good for enforcing the rules itself," he said.

The BUMN Omnibus Law policy will simplify 45 ministerial regulations to only three ministerial regulations.

The simplification of the rules through the BUMN Omnibus Law is part of the acceleration of the transformation that continues to be carried out by SOEs.

The BUMN Omnibus Law itself is one of the four major agendas of the Ministry of SOEs in 2023.

The other three big agendas are the preparation of the Blacklist or Blacklist by cooperating with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

Then the agenda for the preparation of Blueprint 2024-2034 and look back at the performance of pension funds in each BUMN.

Previously, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir continued to simplify the bureaucracy within the Ministry of SOEs and SOEs.

After organizing the organization, he is now making efforts to organize legal products through the simplification of the Minister of SOE Regulation from 45 to 3 Ministerial Regulations.

Erick said that the large number of SOE Permens had been going on for quite a long time, namely since 1998.

He doubts the effectiveness of the large number of SOEs to implementation rather than SOEs in the field.

With only three Permens, it will be easier for directors to understand and also implement them.
