JAKARTA - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo and his staff directly inspected the readiness of electricity supply ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations (Nataru) at the Jakarta Cathedral Church. Darmawan ensured that PLN was ready to present reliable and safe electricity to meet customer needs during Christmas services.
"This cathedral church is a symbol of Christmas and New Year celebrations throughout the archipelago, therefore we are building a system that really keeps Christmas and church worship celebrations running without any electricity disturbances," Darmawan said while reviewing electrical readiness at the Cathedral Church, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 20 yesterday.
The electricity supply needed by the main church building is 53 kilo volt ampere (kVA). In order to meet the electricity needs, PLN prepared five layers of supply, the first of which was from the main supply from the Kutai auctioneer, the organizer of the Gambir Lama Main Substation, and the Bekasi 2.4 - Cawang 1 - Priok Subsystem.
Then PLN also prepared a backup supply originating from the Livina auctioneer, the Mangga Besar Substation, the Duri Kosambi 1.2 - Gandul 1.3 - Muara Karang substation. Then there is also a reog which includes the Old Gambir Substation, the Bekasi 2.4 Cawang - Cawang 1 - Priok sub system.

"The electricity preparation at the Cathedral Church has 53 kVA installed, and in preparation for Christmas and the new year we ensure that the electricity is not only reliable but the electricity is without flickering," said Darmawan.
