JAKARTA - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo said that as support for the national industry, PLN has contributed to domestic spending (GDP) of IDR 201 trillion until November 20, 2022, from this year's total expenditure of IDR 288.4 trillion.

"PLN contributes 84 percent to domestic products in order to develop a global quality national industry," Darmawan said in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 23.

According to Darmawan, PLN has carried out a number of initiatives to meet the provisions of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). These include making regulations regarding the fulfillment of TKDN, developing TKDN reporting and monitoring infrastructure through the e-TKDN application.

"PLN is also targeting that by 2024 the realization of our TKDN can reach 50 percent," added Darmawan.

Meanwhile, TKDN PLN until October 2022 has reached 46.95 percent. This achievement has exceeded this year's target of 42 percent. This TKDN portion has continued to grow since 2019 by 36.8 percent, and in 2020 it will be 40.1 percent.

Present on the same occasion, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto supports PLN's steps in increasing realization.

PLN's efforts to improve TKDN are considered in line with the Proud Made in Indonesia campaign as launched by the government.

"The government will continue to encourage and evaluate so that domestic actors can support the PLN ecosystem. That way we support the deepening of the value chain in the electricity sector," said Airlangga.

Within a year, PLN has budgeted at least IDR 300 trillion for operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX). Moreover, PLN is at the forefront of increasing the new and renewable energy mix to achieve Net Zero Emission in 2060.

The large investment value is not only allocated for foreign investment, but PLN prioritizes domestic spending.
