Ready To Accelerate Development Of Central Government Core Areas In IKN, Minister Basuki: This Is The President's Order And It Has BEEN Reported To The Minister Of Finance

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono is ready to start the construction of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) for the 1B region and 1C for the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago.

"I was asked to speed things up, now what is being built are KIPP region 1A and Mr. President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo asking KIPP regions 1B and 1C to start working immediately," Basuki said on the sidelines of the opening of the 2022 Infrastructure Connect, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 23.

Basuki also added that he had reported to the Minister of Finance regarding the order of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to start the construction of KIPP 1B and 1C.

Based on Presidential Regulation number 63 of 2022 concerning the Detailed Master Plan for the Capital City of the Archipelago, the Nusantara IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP) has a role as a Government Center Planning Area (WP), and is divided into three Sub-WPs, namely Sub-WP 1A, Sub-WP 1B, Sub-WP 1C.

The KIPP city space hierarchy itself includes Sub-WP (equivalent to District), Sub-Sub-WP (equivalent to Kelurahan), Blok, Sub-Blok, and Persil.

The KIPP design principle refers to the space structure of the KIPP Region designed with an appreciation approach to nature (Nature-Inspired Design), including the appreciation of the natural morphology of the land, the area connectivity system and the structure of the city space being formed circularly, the formation of the area's visual axes and corridors as the main orientations of regional development, blocks and activity functions formed to fill the city space pattern have been prepared in regional programs and plans.

Meanwhile, the KIPP City Space structure is designed by applying the principle of a Decentable City (Livable City), namely the odel of a polycentric city, a city with a design that pays attention to local conditions and comfort of residents, and creates diversity of functions and dynamic active communities.

Previously, the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas revealed that the first cluster of government was the first to move to the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in 2024.

The first cluster includes the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, State High Institutions, TNI-POLRI to Independent State Institutions and Public Agencys such as Bank Indonesia, and the Financial Services Authority.
