The Meeting Of The G20 Sherpa Optimistics The Leaders Declaration Agreement Can Be Achieved At The Summit

The delegates at the Sherpa G20 meeting are said to have prepared the best version of the Leaders Declaration which will be brought and determined by the Heads of State and Government of G20 member countries at the G20 Summit.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the Leaders Declaration was a commitment from the G20 leaders to joint efforts to recover the economy and health after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Declaration Design contains the substance of the discussion of the priorities of the Indonesian G20 Presidency, namely the Global Health Architecture, Digital Transformation, and Energy Transition. The declaration also discusses the issue of food security which is the current global issue," he said in a press statement quoted on Sunday, November 13.

According to Airlangga, Indonesia as a representative of developing countries and the only G20 member from Southeast Asia considers inclusiveness to be very important in these difficult times.

The key is to achieve balance. With the agenda of Sustainable Development 2030 as our pointing pointer, we must consider the most effective solution to the ongoing multidimensional crisis and remain humble in our limitations as human beings," he said.

Airlangga explained that the fourth G20 Sherpa meeting which was also the last meeting to meet the G20 Summit in the G20 Indonesia Presidency, was currently also held in Jimbaran, Bali, on November 11-14.

Indonesia's G20 Presidency Sherpa Track includes 12 Working Groups (WG) and 10 Engagement Groups (EG). In addition, the vital role of Sherpa Track is also to hold various other activities such as culture and creative economy, Research and Innovation Ministers Meetings, Side Events, and Joint Ministerial Meetings which are a form of cooperation between Ministries and Institutions.

"In addition to government elements, Indonesia also actively involves non-governmental groups that are members of the G20 Engagement Groups. The aim is, among other things, to ensure that the discussion process regarding economic recovery efforts is inclusive by taking into account input from groups outside the government as stakeholders and the main actors of economic growth," he said.

All discussions held at the meeting will also endorse content delivery. This is in accordance with President Joko Widodo's direction so that Indonesia's G20 Presidency can produce tangible benefits for the Indonesian people and become Indonesia's legacy for the G20 and increase Indonesia's role and profile at the G20 Forum.
