Damri Will Operate 3 Electric Bus Routes During The Implementation Of The G20 Bali Summit

JAKARTA - The electric bus belonging to the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Damri operates three electric bus routes in Nusa Dua during the G20 Summit in Bali.

The three Damri bus routes in Nusa Dua are divided into three codes, namely ND-1, ND-2, and ND-3 and can be used by G20 delegates, G20 participants, and the general public for free.

The ND-1 coded bus serves the Lagoon-Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC)-Bali Collection-Mulia Resort-Apurva Kempinsky route.

Buses with code ND-2 serve the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel-Sofitel and Resort-BNDCC-The Westin Hotel-Hotel The Laguna-Hotel Mulia Bali-Bali Collection-Hotel Grand Hyatt-Ayodya Resort Bali-Hotel Terusa-Apurva Kempinsky.

Meanwhile, the ND-3 coded bus serves the Bali Collection-Hotel St. route.Regis-Mulia Resort-Hotel Hilton-The Apurva Kempinsky-Hotel Ritzz Carlton-Sambe Bali Suites and Villas.

"One Damri electric bus can carry 24 passengers, 19 seats and 5 stands. The general public may ride, there are no special conditions," said Damri Revan bus electric bus technical staff, quoted from Antara, Saturday, November 12.

Revan said Damri electric buses operate from 06.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB, but this also depends on the dynamic conditions of the G20 Summit.

The total number of buses operated during the summit is at least 24 electric buses, of which five function as backup buses.

One of the Damri electric bus drivers named M. Soleh said a fleet of Damri electric buses could cover a distance of about 160 km, before returning to the base to re-cash the battery.

There are about 49 Damri electric bus drivers from various regions in Indonesia.

According to Soleh, previously not many knew that Damri electric buses could be used by the general public freely. However, now many people are starting to use it.

"Now many people know. Everyone can go up according to the route," he explained.

Soleh appealed to prospective Damri electric bus passengers to pay attention to the bus code or ask the driver first regarding the bus route, so as not to get the wrong direction.

Passengers from Jakarta, Jimmy, admitted that he was greatly helped by the presence of the Damri electric bus, because it made it easier for him to access destinations in the Nusa Dua area.

"I thought this bus was only for delegates or participants who had a special identity card. It turned out to be for the public as well. I went from the hotel to the Bali Collection easily, to see handicrafts there," said Jimmy.
