JAKARTA - Deputy Commissioner for Banking Supervision I of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Teguh Supangkat conveyed the application for debtor information. The iDebKu Financial Information Service System (SLIK) is an important infrastructure to encourage the integrity of the financial services industry.

He explained that the iDebKu application will provide an accurate reputation for credit payment compliance by debtors, so as to make the work of Financial Services Institutions more efficient.

“In the future, this is always the direction we will take for data integrity. SLIK is part of data integrity. iDebKu provides benefits for the community by demonstrating a reputation for compliance with credit payments and building individual financial profiles," said Teguh at a press conference to launch the iDebKu application, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 8.

With that, he continued, financial service institutions can take advantage of the iDebKu application to obtain information about the credit quality of prospective debtors, so that later, they can implement appropriate credit risk management.

“The wider benefits of iDebKu are, first, to facilitate the process of providing funds. Then, apply credit risk management and also assess the quality of debtors, and improve financial industry discipline," said Teguh.

He explained that individuals and companies can access the iDebKu application online via computers or mobile phones. However, currently, this service can still be accessed directly through the OJK head office and regional offices.

The OJK reports that currently, the reporting parties in the SLIK integrated in the iDebKu application include 94 commercial banks, 1400 BPR, 167 BPRS, 152 financing companies (33 sharia), 18 venture capital, and 118 securities companies, and others.

"In addition, infrastructure financing companies and pawnshops will also soon enter as reporters," said Teguh.
