JAKARTA PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk is collaborating with PT Nur Rima Al-Waali (NRA Group) in the context of distributing special Hajj and Umrah financing products.

This product is targeted to be the main support for Bank Muamalat's business in the consumer segment.

Bank Muamalat President Director Achmad K. Permana said that currently Bank Muamalat controls 42 percent of the hajj market share plus.

With the completion of the corporate action at the beginning of this year where the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) was included as a Controlling Shareholder (PSP), the company focused on increasing the portion of Hajj.

"As the first purely sharia bank owned by BPKH, of course, we will maximize business potential in the Hajj and Umrah segments. One of them is through the Prohajj Plus product in collaboration with the leading Special Hajj Organizing company (PIHK) in the country. We are optimistic that this segment will provide optimal results, especially because the worship trip to the Holy Land has begun to open again," he said in an official statement, Thursday, October 13.

Prohajj Plus is a special hajj financing service from Bank Muamalat which provides convenience for the public to register for Hajj faster without having to save longer.

In addition to Prohajj Plus, Bank Muamalat also launched Umrah financing in collaboration with selected travel companies.

For information, since October 2021, the Government of Saudi Arabia has officially allowed the implementation of Umrah for pilgrims from Indonesia in line with the pace of development of Covid-19 in Indonesia which continues to improve.

This was then followed by the reopening of the Hajj pilgrimage for people from outside the kingdom in 2022.
