Use PMN To Build 3T Regional Infrastructure, President Director Of PLN: Must Electricity All Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) will utilize state capital participation (PMN) from the government of Rp. 10 trillion in 2023 to build electricity infrastructure in underdeveloped, leading and outermost areas (3T).

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo explained that currently the PLN electrification ratio in Indonesia is generally 97.4.percent.

He emphasized that PLN as a state-owned company not only uses electricity as a commodity but also to realize social justice.

All of our brothers and sisters in remote areas have the right to enjoy electrical energy. This must be realized immediately in real form. For this reason, PLN, at the direction and support of the government, has the mandate that under any conditions we must continue to electrify the entire archipelago," said Darmawan, Friday, October 7.

He explained that the provision of electricity for 3T areas does have its own challenges.

This is because the infrastructure is not adequate and economic calculations are quite difficult.

For this reason, PLN will take advantage of PMN support from the government to encourage the project.

PLN allocates Rp1.7 trillion for the construction of renewable energy-based power plants (EBT) and Rp4.5 trillion for the distribution of 3T regional electricity.

We have mapped out which areas are not yet electrified. Because there are areas that are completely isolated, our strategy is to find what resources are available in the area. We will utilize hydro, geothermal, wind, or solar power from the local area to generate electricity," he added.

Darmawan also shared the enthusiasm of residents in the 3T area when they received electricity support from PLN. He said that the community was working together in connecting electricity.

When we arrived, there was a village that surprised us because we received extraordinary support from the local community. We were greeted by the residents enthusiastically. They understand this for the common good. They took part in the mutual cooperation with us so that the program was completed more quickly," he said.

Darmawan added that the philosophy of this project is that the state is here to provide assistance in subsidies that are right on target and in need.

In infrastructure development for 3T regions, PLN also synergizes with local governments and related stakeholders.

So, this is the task and responsibility of all of us for the prosperity of the entire community. For this reason, the presence of electricity will also be accompanied by the provision of clean water, health, education so that it can provide a multiplier effect for the prosperity of all Indonesian people," he concluded.
