PGN Subholding Gas Pertamina Support Penambahan Jargas Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin Dan Banyuasin

JAKARTA - In order to realize the plan to build jargas in Musi Banyuasin Regency and Banyuasin Regency, PT PGN Tbk as Pertamina Gas Subholding signed a Joint Agreement with the Musi Banyuasin Regency Government and Banyuasin Regency.

PGN supports the addition of 2,500 SR in Musi Banyuasin Regency and 15,000 SR in Banyuasin Regency. PGN will provide GasKita with independent investment for households and small businesses along with its supporting infrastructure.

The signing of a Joint Agreement with the Government of Musi Banyuasin Regency (Muba) coincided with the 66th Anniversary of Muba and witnessed directly by the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru. The Joint Agreement was signed by the Regent of Musi Banyuasin H. Apriyadi, Deputy Regent of Banyuasin H. Slamet Somosentono, and Director of Sales and Operations of PGN Faris Aziz who was accompanied by the Director of Infrastructure and Technology of PGN Achmad Muchtasyar.

"In order to save the community's expenses, the Muba Regency Government cooperates with the Director General of Oil and Gas and PGN to continue to develop gas lines. In the future, there will be 2,500 SRs of jargas," said Musi Banyasin Regent H. Apriyadi in his remarks, Tuesday, September 28.

Separately, Banyuasin Deputy Regent H. Slamet Somosentono said that the public can enjoy saving the use of household jargas compared to gas cylinders, not worrying about running out of gas, and saving subsidies.

In the future, hopefully the construction of jargas in Banyuasin can run smoothly, especially in Talang Kelapa District. The Banyuasin Regency Government is also trying to improve people's welfare by not burdening the APBD, one of which is through jargas," said Slamet.

The construction of jargas in Musi Banyuasin and Banyuasin Regencies is aimed at ensuring energy security and accelerating the realization of energy diversification by utilizing domestic energy sources, especially natural gas for households.

PGN also supports the Muba and Banyuasin Regency Government programs to realize Smart City, as well as reduce traffic density by diverting gas transportation modes from using gas cylinder trucks to using. So it will be more efficient and does not require distribution using vehicles," explained Faris.

Earth gas is a solution for providing energy for the community. PGN needs stakeholder support and assistance, especially local government officials in building gas. This is in line with the ideals of the President of the Republic of Indonesia," added PGN Director of Infrastructure and Technology, Achmad Muchtasyar.

Jargas is part of President Joko Widodo's nawacita and the National Strategic Program (PSN) which has been targeted in the National Energy General Plan (RUEN) and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). The wide use of gas networks in the community will be able to help reduce LPG imports, save the state budget, and increase the use of TKDN at least 45 percent.
