75 Competitive People Become Villages 21 Villages/Villages In Bantul

BANTUL - The Bantul Regency Government, Special Region of Yogyakarta, held simultaneous village/head elections in 21 urban villages/villages from 75 sub-districts/villages.

"Today (Sunday) Bantul Regency held a democratic party, the simultaneous village/village elections in 21 urban villages with a total of 75 candidates, seven of whom were women and 13 incumbents," said Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih after monitoring at TPS 04 Bangunharjo Village, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 25.

According to the Regent, the number of voters recorded has the right to vote to elect the village/village-level leader as many as 204,104 people with 564 polling stations (TPS).

"We hope that this democratic party for the election of the village can run honestly, fairly, openly, and with great friendship so that later it will be more conducive to building villages/kelurahan in the future," he said.

Oleh karena itu, Bupati Bantul berpesan agar calon lurah yang menang dengan meraih suara terbanyak dibandingkan contestantan lain jangan kesalah dan jangan "umuk" (pamer).

"Similarly, those who lose, don't get angry. Everyone must unite again, brothers and sisters, and those who lose are the people who have contributed," he said.

The Regent reminded that in this democratic party the defeated parties are the people who are instrumental in realizing democracy as a manifestation of the sovereignty of the people.

"To this day, thank God, the election has gone smoothly because the police and the TNI have helped us a lot to secure all the villages/villages that held this village election," he said.

Kelurahan/villages in Bantul that held the village elections were Sidomulyo, Mulyodadi, Sumbermulyo, Banguntapan, Jagalaman, Potorono, Palbapan, Trirenggo, Jatimulyo, Kebonagung, Trimulyo, Tirtomulyo, Tirtosari, Gilangharjo, Wijirejo, Seloharjo, Gadingsari, Murtigading, Argosari, Argomulyo, and Bangunharjo.
