SAMARINDA - Acting Assistant II of the Samarinda City Government (Pemkot) Sam Syaimun said his party was trying to strengthen MSME capital as well as efforts to fight moneylenders in the region through the People's Business Credit (KUR) Tutuah program.

"The oath launched by the Samarinda City Government is to help MSMEs get capital loan assistance so they don't borrow moneylenders," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 11.

He said the agreement was not aid, but a loan for capital injections. This means that in order to fight moneylenders, loans that will be given are more flexible.

The KUR, named Bertuah, was taken from the Kutai Language and Malay Language which means it brings benefits or brings good luck. Regarding the distribution mechanism, later through Perwali which is being made, namely through Bank Kaltimtara.

"The nominal loan is estimated to be between Rp. 10 million to Rp. 25 million," he said.

Because of this, the way KUR is distributed through Bank Kaltimtara remains like ordinary credit in general, it's just that this Tutuah is simpler and easier.

"For example, if MSME players borrow moneylenders too big a flower until the people scream. So maybe this is one of the City Government's efforts to synergize with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) so that the UUR-Cash launches," he said.

He continued, the purpose of launching the Composite KUR was to help MSME actors and the government's efforts to fight moneylenders.

"It is hoped that the economy of Samarinda City can be more stretched, especially after being charged with fuel oil (BBM) as a capital injection for MSME players in Samarinda City so that they can continue to advance to class," said Sam Syaimun
