JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) is ready to implement the latest air travel rules contained in the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Transportation Number 82 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Air Transportation During the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic.

"AP I is ready to support and implement the latest travel rules in accordance with the SE of the Ministry of Transportation Number 82 of 2022 simultaneously at 15 airports managed, which will be effective starting today," said AP I President Director Faik Fahmi in a statement quoted by Antara, Monday, August 29.

Faik Fahmi revealed, to support the implementation of the latest travel rules, AP I has operated COVID-19 vaccination center services at 15 managed airports.

This is also intended to encourage the acceleration of the vaccination program launched by the government, as well as make it easier for prospective passengers to get vaccinated which is one of the requirements for air travel.

"The vaccination center services presented at this airport are expected to increase the number of second and third dose vaccinations or boosters for all airport service users," he said.

As for the operation of vaccination center services, AP I cooperates with a number of agencies including the Port Health Office (KKP), Health Office, TNI, Polri, Airport Authority Office, and Regional Covid-19 Handling Task Force.

For information, in the SE of the Ministry of Transportation Number 82 of 2022 it is regulated that Domestic Travelers (PPDN) by air transportation must follow the following conditions:

1. Each PPDN is required to use the PeduliLindung application as a condition for traveling domestically;

2. PPDN aged 18 years and over must have received the third dose of vaccine (booster);

3. PPDN is a foreign citizen (WNA), originating from overseas travel aged 18 years and over must have received a second vaccine;

4. PPDN with the age of 6-17 years must have received the second dose of vaccine;

5. PPDN with the age of 6-17 years comes from overseas travel except for vaccination obligations;

6. PPDN under the age of 6 years is excluded from vaccination requirements but must travel with a companion who has met the provisions of the COVID-19 vaccination

7. PPDN as regulated in number 2 to 6 is not required to show a negative RT-PCR or rapid antigen test result and can travel domestically by implementing strict health protocols;

8. PPDN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent travelers from receiving vaccinations, except for vaccination requirements, is not required to show a negative RT-PCR test result or rapid antigen test and must attach a doctor's certificate from a Government Hospital stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination

9. Provisions as stipulated in number 2 to 8 are excluded for PPDN users of pioneering air transportation including flights in border areas, 3T (lagging, leading, outermost) areas and limited services.
