JAKARTA - Pertamina has ensured that the stock of Pertalite type fuel oil (BBM) in DKI Jakarta, Banten, and West Java is still safe for the next 15 days.

Area Manager Comm Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region Eko Kristiawan stated that the distribution process for Pertalite fuel is still in a safe condition.

Even though currently the fuel, which is currently subsidized by the Government, is experiencing an increase in daily consumption.

Later, said Eko, after the issuance of the revised Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 191 of 2014 concerning the supply, distribution, and Retail Selling Price of Fuel Oil, this regulation will be the reference for policy on distributing Pertalite to the public.

For now, Pertamina is still opening vehicle registration through the Mypertamina Precise Subsidy website for four-wheeled vehicles that are entitled to subsidized fuel with the type of Pertalite and Solar.

Registration can also be done through the Mypertamina application and can also be consulted directly at the gas station if there are online problems.

"We also urge the public to always use quality and environmentally friendly fuel that is by vehicle engine specifications", said Eko.

Previously, people in several areas complained about running out of electricity at gas stations.

One of them is Twitter user @Bob_EtEk3weR who complained about the difficulty of finding Pertalite gasoline in the Jatiwaringin and Jakarta areas.

"Pertalite has run out, just Pertamax? The problem is that the Jatiwaringin and East Jakarta areas are difficult to find Pertalite gasoline", he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, denied the news regarding the possible shortage of Pertalite.

According to him, the vacancy was due to the fuel being in the process of being distributed to several gas stations.

He also dismissed the news of Pertalite quota restrictions to gas stations.

"There are no restrictions (Pertalite). The vacancy is because fuel is on its way", he told VOI, Thursday, August 11.

Irto emphasized that the availability of Pertalite is guaranteed to be safe because it is at the level of around 18 days and is still producing.

"Today, Pertalite's stock is at the level of 18.3 days, and continues to produce", said Irto.
