Calling Grab Has Printed A Lot Of Money In Indonesia, Coordinating Minister Luhut: Only One Request, Move Head Office From Singapore To RI

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Bisar Pandjaitan, requested that Grab's headquarters move from Singapore to Indonesia. According to Luhut, this will be beneficial for Grab itself.

This was conveyed by Luhut in front of the President of Grab Indonesia, Ridzki Kramadibrata, at the launch of the new appearance of Grab Indonesia's electric vehicle, namely Grab Electric at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 12.

"We will continue to support Grab. I think Mr. Minister of Transportation (Budi Karya Sumadi) is here, Mr. Bahlil (Minister of Investment/Head of BPKM) here, Mr. Darmo (Director of PLN) is here, and we all support him. We will support Grab Electric support as long as it's for Indonesia. Only one request, the headquarter is moved here again from Singapore", said Luhut.

Luhut said that Grab was printing the most money in Indonesia. However, its head office is located in another country, namely Singapore. For this reason, Luhut requested that the head office be moved.

On that occasion, Luhut then again mentioned palm oil companies that manage land in Indonesia, but whose headquarters are abroad. He admitted that he had asked the palm oil entrepreneur's head office to move to Indonesia.

"Make the most money in Indonesia. He lives (in fact) in Singapore. All palm oil is also ordered to move, so let Indonesia be tough, we are the ones who make Indonesia great", he said.

Luhut revealed that one of the things offered to the CPO factory was the condition of the Indonesian economy which was considered stable in the midst of global uncertainty.

"Now the country whose economy is good in the world, all of Indonesia (investors) say it is stable, then investment, regulations are quite good and support from the government for all investors who come", he explained.

Luhut also appreciated Grab's steps in presenting 8,500 electric vehicle fleets in the country. The majority of the fleet are electric motorcycles.
