JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) plans to regulate the purchase of Special Assignment Types of Fuel Oil (BBM) such as Pertalite and subsidized Solar.

Buyers of Pertalite and subsidized Solar are required to register on the MyPertamina website starting July 1, 2022.

"In distributing subsidized fuel, there are rules, both in terms of quotas or quantities and in terms of user segmentation," explained Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Alfian Nasution in his statement, quoted on Wednesday, June 28.

Citing Pertamina's publications on its website, there are several criteria for consumers who are entitled to subsidized diesel fuel which is regulated in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 191 of 2014 concerning Supply, Distribution, and Retail Selling Price of Fuel Oil.

For land transportation, those who are entitled to use subsidized diesel are private vehicles, yellow plate public transportation, public transportation of goods (except for transporting mining and plantation products with wheels exceeding 6, as well as public service cars such as ambulances, hearses, garbage, and fire engines). .

For water transportation, Pertamina stipulates criteria such as water transportation with outboard motors, ASDP, Indonesian-flagged sea transportation, people's/pioneer shipping vessels, with verification and recommendation from the Head of SKPD/quota by the Regulatory Agency.

Meanwhile, for fishery businesses, fishermen with vessels of no more than 30 GT registered with the ministry of marine and fisheries, and receiving SKPD verification and recommendations, and small-scale fish cultivators with SKPD verification and recommendations.

To note, the restrictions on Pertalite fuel and subsidized Solar with the MyPertamina application apply to consumers who use four wheels or more. Therefore, if car users want to continue to buy Pertalite or subsidized Solar, they must register on MyPertamina.

As for the initial stage, the use of the MyPertamina application to purchase Pertalite and Subsidized Solar will be tested in 5 locations, namely West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, Yogyakarta, West Java and North Sulawesi.
